Description

The Langhe DOC Nebbiolo is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the vineyards of the La Trava company. Here, different soil types coexist within a few meters and manage to generate very different productions within the same sub-zone. The La Trava vineyard enjoys a beautiful southern exposure that allows the Nebbiolo grapes to mature perfectly in a mild climate until harvest. The vinification is firstly done in a traditional way with strict temperature control to ensure a high level of quality; secondly, after racking, the wine rests in small French oak barrels until it has reached the right maturity. The result is a wine with a beautiful, intense and delicate ruby red colour. The beautiful note of vanilla and spices, which goes hand in hand with the perception of fresh fruits such as currants and small berries, is particularly pleasant on the nose. In the mouth, the sweet, velvety tannins stand out, leaving a silky soft feeling on the finish. A very pleasant wine that is easy to combine.

Food recommendation

Appetizers with meat or game sauces such as hare or deer, cheeses such as a Gorgonzola and Taleggio risotto or roasts.

TASTING NOTES

Color garnet red. Fruity, intense fragrance with notes of plum and violet. Full and well balanced in the mouth, pleasantly tannic and with a good aftertaste.
